Flame Arrester approved to EN ISO 16852 as End of line deflagration flame arrester for Endurance Burning<\/strong><\/p>

Deflagration = Explosion propagating at subsonic velocity<\/p>

Endurance Burning = Steady burning of a flame stabilized at or close to the flame arrester element<\/p>

End of line deflagration flame arrester installed at end of vent pipe prevents light-back at deflagration of potentially explosive vapour-air or gas-air mixtures from outside (atmospheric conditions) to the protected side (e. g. storage tank)\u00a0 also in case of endurance burning.<\/p>

End of Line Deflagration Flame Arrester approved for Endurance Burning : Explanation<\/strong><\/p>

Flame Arrester that prevents flame transmission during and after endurance burning.<\/p>

Deflagration = Explosion propagating at subsonic velocity<\/p>

Endurance Burning = Steady burning of a flame stabilized at, or close to, the flame arrester element.<\/p>

In case of overpressure in storage tank, gas, vapor or aerosol escapes trough vent to atmosphere. In case gas, vapor or aerosol mixture is ignitable then a flame will burn on the top of the vent as long (endurance burning) as the pressure in storage tank is higher than atmospheric pressure. As soon gas flow ends or the storage tank pressure is nearly atmospheric, then the flame will propagate in direction to the storage tank. End of line deflagration flame arrester tested for endurance burning prevents the flame from striking the storage tank when the gas flow decreases, despite the heating caused by the fire.<\/p>

To prevent unnecessary heating up of the flame arrester the rain cover removes automatically after a short time. After the flame will burn as long as the overpressure in the system supplies gas.<\/p>

Please consider: \u00a0End of line deflagration flame arresters approved for endurance burning of alcohols and non-pure hydrocarbons require a separate test.<\/p>
